The peasant movement started by the farmers of Punjab and Haryana is at its peak. Farmers are staging peacefully on the Indus and Tikri borders for the sixth day today. It is now wrong to call this movement as the farmers’ movement in Punjab and Haryana, because now farmers of states like UP, Bihar have also joined it. The reason for this movement is the three agricultural laws brought by the central government, on which farmers have registered their objection on some points. The biggest concern of the farmers is that this will eliminate the MSP i.e. the minimum support price.
Many artists from Punjab have come out in support of the agitating farmers. Some celebrities from across the country have also expressed their support towards the farmers. Punjabi singer and Bollywood actor singer Diljit Dosanjh has given his support to the farmers and tweeted a tweet. It is also being said about the peasant movement that this movement is politically motivated and has the support of the Khalistanis. On this, Diljit Dosanjh wrote in his tweet, ‘We are farmers, not terrorists’.
With this tweet, Diljit Dosanjh also shared a caricature in which the performing farmers are holding placards in the hand, on which the same thing is written in the tweet of Diljit Dosanjh. In response to this tweet, some people are saying that those who act like terrorists will be called terrorists or not. Some people are also asking whether they have read the new farmer laws which are doing such things.
